黃金(存摺)價格走勢與中國印度節日的關係

　　有這麼一個說法，「通常春節過後，黃金的價格會變便宜」。如果這是真的，那麼春節前什麼時候適合賣黃金？春節過後多久適合買黃金？
　　
　　想起在《羅傑斯教你投資熱門商品Hot Commodities: How Anyone Can Invest Profitably in the World's Best Market》與《美元失色 黃金發熱The Collapse of the Dollar and How to Profit from It: Make a Fortune by Investing in Gold and Other Hard Assets》兩本書中都提到了中國與印度人對黃金的情有獨鍾，就試著找資料，看看黃金（存摺）的價格會不會受到中國、印度特殊節日的影響。

　　在世界黃金協會(WGC)，找到了底下這張2007年主要國家黃金需求統計圖表（可點擊放大），證實了印度與大中華地區對黃金的龐大需求（說龐大是相較於世界各國央行的黃金儲備）。

　　婚嫁和方便逃難是中印對黃金的共同主要需求，不過，印度還深受印度教的影響。影響中國和印度金飾需求的關鍵節日有春節、西洋情人節、印度的Diwaii（排燈節、光明節、萬燈節、或屠妖節）、Akshaya Thrithiya節。

　　由於台灣銀行提供了從2005年至今的每日黃金存摺價格資料，就抓取了資料並標上這四個節日。

　　最近三年，五月下旬到六月似乎有明顯的回檔，推測與Akshaya Thrithiya節有關。節錄網路上三段跟Akshaya Thrithiya節有關的敘述。

　　Akshaya Thrithiya節的黃金需求應該是最近幾年印度珠寶商成功的行銷所致。

It is believed that if a person purchases a small amount of gold (at least 1 gm), wears it at an auspicious time after keeping it in the pooja room, will accumulate more round the year. Wealth will increase in homes where rupees and coins are kept for pooja and worshipped as Goddess Lakshmi.

　　根據統計，印度有十一億人，其中八成信仰印度教，也就是8.8億人。假如有1％的印度教徒相信上面的「神話」，就有880萬人至少買一公克的黃金，也就是至少買了8.8公噸的黃金（全球央行黃金儲備可以排第64名）。

　　商機有多大？2007年的Akshaya Thrithiya節是星期五，印度第二大銀行，也是最大的民營商業銀行ICICI Bank，當天只賣金幣，不做其他銀行業務（也就是存錢、領錢請改天再來）。
